Crypto escrow, answered
Short, honest answers about how EZY-ESCROW protects a crypto deal: fees, coins, disputes and staying safe.
Basics
What is crypto escrow and how does it work?
Crypto escrow holds the buyer's cryptocurrency until the seller delivers what was agreed. On EZY-ESCROW the buyer deposits to our escrow wallet, the seller delivers, the buyer confirms receipt, and only then are the funds released to the seller. If something goes wrong, the deal can be frozen and reviewed.
Is crypto escrow safe?
Escrow removes the biggest risk in a deal between strangers: paying and getting nothing back. On EZY-ESCROW every BTC, ETH, USDT and TRX deposit is checked on its own blockchain, and every release is made by a person, not automatically. Escrow protects the payment, not the quality of the goods, so agree clear terms before you start.
How do I buy something with Bitcoin or USDT using escrow?
Create a free account, open a deal with the seller's email and the price, then send the total shown on the deal page to the escrow address it gives you and submit the transaction ID. When the item or service arrives and matches the deal, click "I received it" so the funds can be released to the seller.
Can crypto escrow protect me from scams?
Escrow protects you from paying and receiving nothing, because the seller is only paid after you confirm receipt. It cannot protect you from agreeing to vague terms or from fake escrow websites. Always type ezy-escrow.org yourself and never send crypto directly to a person's wallet when a deal is meant to go through escrow.
What happens if the seller never delivers?
Do not confirm receipt. Use "Report a problem" on the deal page: the deal is frozen and our team reviews it. If it is settled in your favour, everything you deposited, including the escrow fee, is refunded to your EZY-ESCROW wallet, and you can withdraw it from there.
Fees and limits
How much does crypto escrow cost, and who pays the fee?
EZY-ESCROW charges one flat 2% fee, paid by the buyer on top of the deal amount. The seller receives the full amount agreed. The normal blockchain network fee for sending crypto is paid by whoever sends it.
Is escrow worth it for small amounts?
Escrow is worth it when losing the money would hurt more than the fee, which is usually any deal with someone you do not know. The minimum deal on EZY-ESCROW is $50 (in crypto at the current price). For tiny amounts between people who already trust each other, escrow may not be worth it.
How long does it take to release the funds?
Funds are released after the buyer confirms receipt and our team reviews the deal. Releases are made by a person, not automatically, which is part of the protection.
Do I get the fee back if the deal is refunded?
Yes. When a deal is refunded to the buyer, everything the buyer deposited is returned, including the escrow fee.
Is there a minimum deal or withdrawal amount?
The minimum deal is $50 and the minimum withdrawal is $10, both counted in crypto at the current price.
Coins and networks
What is the difference between USDT TRC20 and ERC20, and which should I send?
USDT exists on several blockchains, including Tron (TRC20) and Ethereum (ERC20), and they are not interchangeable. Always send on the exact network shown next to the deposit address on your deal page. Tron transfers usually cost much less in network fees than Ethereum ones.
What happens if I send crypto on the wrong network?
Crypto sent on the wrong network or to a wrong address is usually lost for good, and nobody, including us, can reverse a blockchain transfer. Our withdrawal form checks address formats and warns you when an address belongs to a different network.
What is a transaction ID (TX hash), and how do I prove my deposit arrived?
A transaction ID, or TX hash, is the unique code your wallet gives every transfer. Paste it on the deposit form: for BTC, ETH, USDT and TRX we look it up on the blockchain, and the amount credited is what the blockchain shows arrived.
Can I use Monero (XMR) for escrow?
Yes. Monero transactions are private by design, so they cannot be checked automatically the way BTC or USDT can. Our team confirms Monero deposits by hand, which can take longer.
Trust and disputes
How do I spot a fake escrow or middleman scam?
Warning signs: the other person insists on an escrow site you have never heard of, sends you a link instead of letting you type the address, asks you to pay a person's wallet directly, or asks for your password, recovery link or seed phrase. Real escrow never needs any of those.
How do I know I am on the real EZY-ESCROW website?
The only address is https://ezy-escrow.org. Escrow deposit addresses are shown only inside your account, on your own deal page. EZY-ESCROW will never ask for your password, your password-reset link or your wallet's seed phrase.
Who decides disputes, and what are the possible outcomes?
Our team reviews disputes using what the buyer and seller provide. A deal ends in one of two ways: the funds are released to the seller, or everything the buyer deposited is refunded, including the fee. Either party can open a dispute from the deal page.
Can a crypto payment be reversed after release?
No. Once crypto is released on the blockchain it cannot be pulled back, which is exactly why the buyer should only confirm receipt after checking that what arrived matches the deal.
What should buyer and seller agree before starting a deal?
Write down exactly what is being sold, the quantity, how and when it will be delivered, and what counts as delivered. Put it in the deal description: clear terms make any dispute quick to decide.
Using escrow
How do I pay a freelancer in crypto safely?
Open a deal with the freelancer as the seller. They start work once the deal is funded, and are paid when you confirm you received the work. For a long project, use one deal per milestone so each part is paid when it is delivered.
How do I buy a domain name or website with crypto?
Fund an escrow deal first, then let the seller transfer the domain or website to you. Confirm receipt only once it shows in your own registrar or hosting account, so the seller is paid only after you really control it.
How do I do a large USDT deal with a stranger safely?
Use escrow so neither side has to trust the other first, agree the exact network (TRC20 or ERC20) in writing, and double-check every address before sending. For a first deal with someone new, many people start with a smaller test deal.
Can I use escrow for a deal I arranged on Telegram or another chat app?
Yes. Both of you create EZY-ESCROW accounts and the deal runs on our website, wherever you met. Only use links you open yourself at ezy-escrow.org, never escrow links sent to you in a chat.
How is EZY-ESCROW different from a P2P exchange's built-in escrow?
Exchange escrow protects trades made inside that exchange's own marketplace. EZY-ESCROW is for deals you arrange anywhere: goods, services, domains or crypto trades between two people, held until the buyer confirms.
