Buy and sell goods for crypto, without the risk

Paying a stranger first is how most online deals go wrong. With escrow, the buyer's crypto waits until the item arrives and matches what was agreed.

The short answer

The buyer funds an escrow deal, the seller ships the item, and the buyer confirms receipt after checking it. Only then is the seller paid. If the item never arrives or is not what was agreed, report a problem and the deal is frozen for review.

How it works

  1. Describe the item exactly. Model, condition, serial number if it has one, what is in the box and how it will be shipped.
  2. Buyer funds the deal. The buyer opens a deal with the seller's email and the price, then deposits the crypto shown on the deal page.
  3. Seller ships with tracking. The seller sends the item once the deal is funded and shares the tracking number with the buyer.
  4. Inspect, then confirm. When it arrives and matches the description, click "I received it" and the seller is paid.

Before the buyer confirms

  • Open it and check it. Model, condition and accessories match the description.
  • Test that it works. Switch electronics on and compare serial numbers where there are any.
  • Record the unboxing. A short video helps if there is a problem later.
  • Confirm only with it in your hands. Never confirm because someone asks you to before it arrives.

What it costs

One flat 2% fee, paid by the buyer on top of the price. On a $1,000 item, the buyer sends $1,020.00 in crypto and the seller receives $1,000. Minimum deal $50.

Questions

How do I buy something with Bitcoin or USDT using escrow?

Create a free account, open a deal with the seller's email and the price, then send the total shown on the deal page to the escrow address it gives you and submit the transaction ID. When the item or service arrives and matches the deal, click "I received it" so the funds can be released to the seller.

Can crypto escrow protect me from scams?

Escrow protects you from paying and receiving nothing, because the seller is only paid after you confirm receipt. It cannot protect you from agreeing to vague terms or from fake escrow websites. Always type ezy-escrow.org yourself and never send crypto directly to a person's wallet when a deal is meant to go through escrow.

What happens if the seller never delivers?

Do not confirm receipt. Use "Report a problem" on the deal page: the deal is frozen and our team reviews it. If it is settled in your favour, everything you deposited, including the escrow fee, is refunded to your EZY-ESCROW wallet, and you can withdraw it from there.

What should buyer and seller agree before starting a deal?

Write down exactly what is being sold, the quantity, how and when it will be delivered, and what counts as delivered. Put it in the deal description: clear terms make any dispute quick to decide.

How much does crypto escrow cost, and who pays the fee?

EZY-ESCROW charges one flat 2% fee, paid by the buyer on top of the deal amount. The seller receives the full amount agreed. The normal blockchain network fee for sending crypto is paid by whoever sends it.

Can a crypto payment be reversed after release?

No. Once crypto is released on the blockchain it cannot be pulled back, which is exactly why the buyer should only confirm receipt after checking that what arrived matches the deal.
